“My Favorite Raw Experience”

I have traveled far and wide looking for raw restaurants to please my senses, and the Present Moment Cafe is #1 on my list, by far. Yvette has masterfully created a space worthy of repeat visits. And the raw cashew ice cream! Oh my!

I believe Northeast Florida’s raw movement is exapnding daily, and the Present Moment’s mission to keep creating this live cuisine will be at the forefront of that expansion.”

“On a ten point scale, this place is a 15!”

Whether you are into raw foods or not, whether you are even a vegetarian/vegan or not, please give The Present Moment Cafe a try. You will not be disappointed! The charming quality of

the servers and their attentive and prompt service, the quirky, eclectic decor, including some really wonderful artwork, all serve as a backdrop to the amazing and creatively presented food. Everything tastes so good, looks so good and is so good for you, there is no downside here.

“World-class cuisnine and, surprse, it’s vegan!”

The Present Moment Cafe is one of St. Augustine’s off-the-main treasures. Insiders are devoted to this place. Walk in the door and inhale an addictive herbal fragrance that will seduce your senses. I’m a meat/chicken/fish eater, in moderation, and consider myself a healthful eater, but I was wary of this vegan/raw food theme. I am now a convert. Not only is this food healthy, it is creative, delicious, filling, sensuous. The restaurant is unpretentious but sophisticated in a laid back way. It;s on West King Street, which many of the uninitiated local yokels consider to be the wrong side of town. But the think-outside-the-boxsters (including PMC owner Yvette) are appreciating the potential of this neglected yet up-and-coming neighborhood. The menu is imaginative and delicious. And the organic wine list, while small, is good quality. The daily specials are can’t-go-wrong splendid, and the desserts are exquisite (my fave is the cacao torte with a hint of chile spice and rum-marinated banana garnish – omigod).
